Jennifer Allen

I moved to Paris the summer before 1st grade, and have lived here ever since. I am proud to say I graduated from Paris High School in 1988. While here, I was in the band, FBLA, FHA, yearbook, and Beta clubs.
I earned my Bachelors degree in Business Education at the University of Kentucky in 1992, then began working for Paris Independent Schools in 1995 as the director of the Family Resource Center. I earned my masters degree in vocational education from UK in 1997.  I left in 1998 to teach at Pendleton County High School, before returning to PHS/PMS to teach in 2000. I earned a masters degree in Library Media Education from WKU in 2009. I am currently participating in UK's Next Generation Leadership Academy and working on my Educational Specialist degree at UK. I expect to finish in May, 2017.

Over the years, I have sponsored the book club, prom, FBLA, STLP, Yearbook, and many senior events, and served at an assistant softball coach and golf coach.
I am married and have 2 children, Macy, a senior at UK, and Landon, a freshman at BCTC. In my free time, I like to read, travel, make scrapbooks, and hang out with my family and friends.
I believe all students can learn. Some just need a little more help along the way. They all want and need to feel that we care about them. I hope that as the years go by, my students can say that I made a difference in their lives because I helped them learn, but more importantly, because I cared.

I am thrilled to be the district librarian! Working with students in grades Kindergarten through 12th is challenging, but it's also rewarding and exciting!
